JfB has arranged with CCNow Incorporated to act as our authorized on-line retailer in handling secure on-line credit-card transactions (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover/Novus). It is now possible for you to join JfB or renew your membership, get tickets to JfB events (especially convenient if you plan to attend a concert from out of town), purchase our cool tee-shirts (coming soon), and anything else we think up, in a secure, encrypted environment from the comfort of your computer-desk chair. CCNow is a leader in secure on-line credit-card business, and allows us to offer you this service with minimum ongoing expense, so that we can devote more of our resources to bringing you first-rate live jazz.

cards, CCNow requires us to deliver something of tangible value to a real postal address. In our case, this will be concert tickets, a membership card (entitling you to discounts on tickets), or physical merchandise. We support this security measure, but it does mean that we must stop on-line ticket sales in time to allow postal delivery before the concert. We are dedicated to ensuring that any on-line transactions you conduct with us meet with your complete satisfaction.

It is time to renew your membership in JfB. This year, in an effort to save postage and devote more of your membership dues to bringing you the best in live jazz, we are not sending out a separate renewal-reminder letter. Instead, we are asking you to take the time now to renew your membership. You can do so by credit-card on our website, or simply fill out the membership form on p. 4 of this Newsletter, clip and send it to us with your check.
