Jazz from Bloomington, vol. 2: A Tribute to Hoagy Carmichael

In 1997,the CD IU Auditorium Presents Jazz from Bloomington was released. The organization and cooperation that lay behind that project eventually led to the founding of our organization. We are now proud to announce the release of Jazz from Bloomington,vol. 2: "A Tribute to Hoagy Carmichael," consisting entirely of music by Bloomington native Hoagy Carmichael performed by local musicians. Most of this new CD was recorded live at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington during "JfB Night" at the the 2003 Hoagy Carmichael Festival. The CD is available for purchase below, and from Bloomington music outlets including TIS Music, Borders, Barnes & Noble and Bloomingfoods East. It is also available at the Indiana Historical Society in Indianapolis, and can be purchased online there. Proceeds from the sale of the CD benefit the Hoagy Carmichael Sculpture Project and JfB educational programs.
